About this Journal

Aim & Scope

This refereed journal publishes six volumes per year since 2016. It publishes high quality articles and book reviews to inform and stimulate discussions relevant to sport management and marketing, recreation, leisure management and sport tourism. It is designed to appeal to anyone with a serious interest in the above fields including academics, practicing managers, students, consultants, etc.

One of the key objectives of the journal is to provide a high level forum for communication between academics and practitioners. To this purpose, the IJSMaRT aims to be contemporary, integrated and relevant to practitioners training. Contributions are welcome and expected from both academics and practitioners throughout the international sport management, recreation and sport tourism community.

The main “target group” is non-English speaking researchers and practitioners as a mother language. The Journal aims at international interests.

Contents

IJSMaRT publishes original papers, theory-based empirical papers, review papers, case studies, conference reports, book reviews and relevant reports and news. It covers advances in theory, new concepts, methods and applications.

In its effort to support new and creative approaches to the generation and dissemination of knowledge about sport management, recreation and sport tourism, the International Journal of Sport Management, Recreation and Tourism welcomes focused and well-argued papers and proposals for special themed issues of the Journal.

All articles published in IJSMaRT are peer reviewed and upon acceptance will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download.
